Who can issue a BASIX certificate?

It is designed with public access in mind and no level of accreditation is required for use of BASIX tool. The tool itself is rather complicated and quite a lot of information is required based on certain development types.

To complete the online assessment of your project the user must be familiar with all the definitions of the BASIX tool and for certain types of developments an official thermal assessment result is required by an accredited assessor. If you are considering undertaking a BASIX assessment yourself please keep in mind that with our prior experience one could incur additional expense due to nomination of commitments or construction materials that might be too excessive for the application or a more cost effective solution could be proposed. It is therefore highly suggested that issuance of this certificate be allocated to experienced professionals.
